Yin Yoga with Meesha is a highly restorative and gentle yoga class that combines pranayama (breath work) and asana (postures). Each posture is held between one and five minutes. Holding poses for longer periods of time allows us to release the connective tissue and fascia, which can result in deep states of relaxation. This is a highly therapeutic form of yoga that also allows us to practice stillness. Stillness is medicine in current times, which ask us to constantly produce and multitask. When we achieve stillness we can have profound experiences of introspection and dhyana (meditation).
